
Empowering Women for a Borderless Future: ECADIN and EuroCham Indonesia Mark Kartini Day 2025 with Leadership Forum
April 25, 2025, Jakarta – Energy Academy Indonesia (ECADIN) through its very special program, WINNERS (Women in Energy Transition Leadership), proudly initiated a special forum to commemorate Hari Kartini 2025. The event, themed “Global Mindset: Thriving in a Borderless World“ gathered a global leaders and professionals for an inspiring dialogue forum, sharing experiences, and networking sessions. Held at Somerset Sudirman Jakarta from 14.30 to 17.00, the event was fully supported by Pertamina New and Renewable Energy (PNRE), further strengthening the commitment to foster diverse leadership in Indonesia’s energy transition journey.
In today’s world, defined by unparalleled interconnectedness, the ability to adapt, innovate, and collaborate across borders is no longer optional—it is essential. This reality resonates deeply with the spirit of empowerment and inclusivity that Hari Kartini represents. The “Global Mindset: Thriving in a Borderless World” forum aimed to spotlight the vital role of diverse and adaptable leaders in navigating global challenges and driving transformative change.
Designed as a platform for dialogue and experience-sharing, the forum emphasized the significance of cultural awareness, an open mindset, and adaptability in thriving within an increasingly globalized landscape. Initiated by ECADIN in collaboration with the European Business Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia (EuroCham Indonesia), the event explored practical strategies for thriving beyond national boundaries—highlighting the importance of multicultural partnerships, multinational collaborations, and a strong global strategy. It was a reminder that success today demands not only technical mastery, but also cultural intelligence, authenticity, and an unwavering commitment to inclusive progress.






Event Highlights
The forum opened with warm remarks from Desti Alkano, CEO of ECADIN, and Edison Bako, Executive Director of EuroCham Indonesia. In her speech, Desti reflected on Kartini’s legacy as a symbol of breaking boundaries and embracing global possibilities. She emphasized that success today demands an open, inclusive, and globally minded approach. Reaffirming ECADIN’s commitment through the WINNERS program, she highlighted its focus on advocacy, mentorship, and networking to support women in energy leadership.
The forum featured an inspiring group of keynote speaker and panelists including Keynote Speaker Dr. Hetifah Sjaifudian, Chairperson of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR-RI) and Chairperson of the PII Expert Council. The panel discussion was enriched by:
- Carole J. Gall, President of ExxonMobil Indonesia;
- John Anis, CEO of Pertamina New and Renewable Energy (PNRE);
- Dwi Murray, CEO of Jawa Satu Power;
- Candra Sri Sutama, COO of ECADIN.
