According to Dasco, while no formal agreements were made, the discussion explored the future of renewable energy cooperation and broader intergovernmental coordination. He confirmed that Singaporean ministers had previously engaged with Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), and Minister of Investment to examine potential collaborations. The meeting also reflected Indonesia’s efforts to attract foreign investment in sustainable industries and improve regional energy infrastructure.

Highlighting the importance of parliamentary support, Ambassador Kwok noted that Singapore is looking to strengthen cross-border partnerships in economic and green energy initiatives. As discussions progress, both nations are expected to further explore investment and trade opportunities that align with Indonesia’s long-term sustainability goals.
