About The Energy & Renewables Team
The Energy & Renewables (E&R) Division within EDB is tasked with the industry development of the Energy & Chemicals sector. It develops and implements strategies to support the growth and transformation of this industry, focusing on sustainability, output of sustainable products, and supply chain resilience. Additionally, the division coordinates EDB’s emergency preparedness responses to situations like Energy Supply Crises and pandemics.
Job Description
In this role, you will collaborate with EDB colleagues, industry partners, and government officials to undertake the following responsibilities:
- Understand the energy industry, its supply chain, and potential disruptions.
- Develop policies and initiatives to enhance industry development and improve energy supply chain resilience.
- Guide junior officers in creating energy supply and distribution operational plans and pandemic preparedness plans.
- Liaise with other government agencies and key industry partners to foster industry development and bolster energy supply chain resilience.
- Support the management of additional resources for auditing and inspecting EDB-managed worksites.
To excel in this role, you should:
- Have substantial knowledge of global and regional developments in decarbonising the Energy & Chemicals sector, sustainable product production, and energy supply disruptions; basic knowledge of pandemic-related compliance policies is preferred.
- Understand the operations of inter-agency taskforces and establish connections with key contacts related to energy security and pandemic issues.
- Possess knowledge of the operations within the Energy & Chemicals industries.
- Be well-versed in the roles of government agencies, trade associations, and companies concerning E&C issues and energy supply.
- Demonstrate adaptability to diverse work requirements, often with tight deadlines, and effectively communicate changes to officers and counterparts.
- Be available for weekend work during emergencies.
What we are looking for
- 6-8 years of relevant industry experience coordinating large-scale projects across multiple stakeholders, including government agencies.
- Preferred experience in Supply Chain Management and Strategy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong organizational and data management skills.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, a good work ethic, and a team player mentality.
- Must be Singaporean.
