Job Description

  • Collaborate with faculty and industry on energy assessment projects in industrial systems.
  • Co-create and deliver training on energy efficiency in industrial systems for adult learners and students.
  • Mentorship of students in energy assessment projects to enhance their technical problem-solving abilities, including classroom training, laboratory classes, and project management.
  • Assist research and industrial projects initiated by the university when opportunities arise.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to Work, Safety, and Health Regulations.
  • Operate independently and as a team member to maintain equipment properly.
  • For senior-level hires, management responsibilities will be applicable.
  • Oversee and administer training programs at the Centre.

Job Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience in energy assessments and energy efficiency projects, especially in industrial systems such as:
    • Chilled Water System, Cooling and Refrigeration System, Mechanical Ventilation System, Heating System, Process Separation, Process Heat Integration, Process Compressor System, Steam and Condensate System, Compressed Air System, Motor Driven System, Power Distribution System and Electric Motors, Combined Cycle and Co-generation System, Lighting System, Renewable Energy System, Process Specific Systems, etc.
  • 5 to 10 years of project work experience in energy efficiency. Certification as an Energy Efficiency Opportunity Assessor or Singapore Certified Energy Manager is advantageous.
  • A degree in Engineering or equivalent; a Master’s or PhD degree is preferable.
  • Experience in conducting training programs for adult learners.
  • Licensed LEW (Grade 8 or higher).
