Job Description
The Project Intern will support the Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy team at Temasek, actively contributing to the organization’s sustainability initiatives from January 2025 to June 2025 or July 2025 to December 2025, with a minimum commitment of six months full-time. Key responsibilities include leading internal staff engagement programs on sustainability, curating monthly sustainability newsletters, planning engagement activities with portfolio companies, conducting research on current sustainability trends, and preparing sustainability disclosures.

The Sustainability Group at Temasek guides the institution’s long-term sustainability strategy and initiatives aimed at transforming operations, investment portfolios, and partner engagements into sustainable practices. The team focuses on five key levers: deploying capital for sustainable solutions, embedding ESG frameworks, enhancing ESG value in portfolio companies, adopting sustainable practices internally, and pursuing collaborations for systemic sustainability changes.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the curation and implementation of internal staff engagement programs on sustainability (Project GO!)
- Lead the curation of the internal monthly sustainability newsletter (Spotlight on Sustainability)
- Support the planning and execution of engagement platforms for portfolio companies and sustainability advisors
- Assist in research relating to sustainability trends and global conferences
- Support preparation of sustainability-related disclosures and peer analyses
- Assist with other institutional sustainability research projects as needed
Qualifications / Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in sustainability management, business, or communications
- Strong interest in sustainability, environmental, and social issues
- Ability to develop engaging staff activities, event programming, and conduct research
- Strong strategy, analytical, project management, and presentation skills
- Effective communicator in written and oral forms, with attention to detail
- Creative, forward-looking, and results-oriented focus on execution
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
