Job Description
ERM is seeking a motivated Consulting Associate/Senior Associate in Environmental Impact Assessment to join our global consulting firm in Singapore. This entry-level position involves close collaboration with Project Managers on various projects primarily focusing on environmental and social impact assessments that meet international standards for commercial-scale capital projects in Singapore. The role offers exposure to diverse assignments in environmental, social, and health impact assessments, contributing to sustainable business growth nationally and regionally while networking with ERM’s technical teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support preparation of discipline-specific reports, Environmental Checklists, EIAs, international standard ESIAs, and other activities for ERM clients’ capital projects, such as renewable energy and power generation.
- Provide technical assistance on environmental assessments and sustainability projects.
- Prepare plans, assessments, and reports on environmental, biodiversity, social, and health issues.
- Conduct fieldwork related to environmental and social matters.
- Perform environmental compliance assessments and implement corrective actions for regulatory adherence.
- Provide general compliance support, including on-site assistance.
- Compile and evaluate data to assist in report preparation.
- Manage project tasks within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring quality standards.
- Support client liaison and assist in creating presentation materials.
- Assist in managing and coordinating subcontractors.
- Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers in delivering exceptional project value.
- Provide business value through understanding clients’ needs and enhancing ERM’s capabilities within key organizations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in environmental studies, engineering, social science, planning, geography, or related fields; environmental engineering background preferred.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Interest in noise and air quality modeling and assessments.
- Willingness for field assignments and flexibility to travel.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills for conflict resolution.
- Effective written and verbal communication in English.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Positive, collaborative attitude driven by ERM’s success.
- Experience in preparing reports, letters, memos, and agreements.
- Deadline-oriented and adaptable to diverse environments.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple assignments.
