Job Description
The role of Manager, Energy & Renewables within the Energy & Resources Division involves supporting and implementing key activities and initiatives for major corporate clients, particularly in the energy sector. You will work closely with executives, external stakeholders, and EDB colleagues to facilitate project or partnership outcomes. This position is primarily an individual contributor role, although there may be opportunities to lead projects based on experience and potential. You will report to the Assistant Vice President, Energy and Resources.
- Plan and execute account management activities for a portfolio of companies, managing account development, project negotiation, execution, and client servicing.
- Understand client needs and operations to implement effective engagement strategies.
- Conduct tasks to achieve project negotiation outcomes, including analysis, proposal preparation, incentive processing, solutions development, contract drafting, and project monitoring.
- Analyze regional/global trends relevant to energy businesses to create partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate with various teams within EDB to ensure seamless account management processes.
- Maintain adherence to EDB’s service principles for optimal client experience.
Market Analysis
- Conduct market analysis of the oil & gas and renewables sectors, focusing on decarbonisation and sustainability trends.
- Anticipate client challenges and propose actionable solutions.
- Provide insights to EDB and government teams regarding policies or product/service development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with relevant working experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in the energy, chemical, or natural resources industry, or in sales/business development managing key accounts.
- Strong interest in the global energy sector and international climate change issues.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and propose actionable solutions.
- Keen business acumen and project management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and teamwork skills.
- Singaporean citizenship is required.
