Job Description

• The Sustainability Manager will lead sustainability program activities and compliance, particularly in the Rubber sector, impacting the region’s sustainability future.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to implement sustainability projects in supply chains and ensure industry standards compliance.
• Stay informed about upcoming sustainability regulations (e.g., EUDR, GPSNR) and assist upstream supply chains in compliance efforts.
• Provide expertise to upstream suppliers on sustainability topics, including environmental issues, human rights, supply chain management, and farmer livelihood.
• Support third-party factories in developing documentation for various sustainability policies and procedures.
• Lead monitoring and evaluation of compliance activities with relevant laws and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise and implement a sustainability strategy for natural rubber products.
• Conduct training and workshops for third-party factories.
• Engage with relevant stakeholders, customers, and suppliers regarding sustainability standards.

Qualifications

• A passion for sustainable agriculture and food systems.
• Pragmatic, organized, and structured with strong critical thinking skills.
• On-the-ground experience and a good understanding of agri-business models is highly desirable.
• Experience with product certification systems, monitoring and evaluation, auditing, and training/capacity-building is preferred.
• Willingness to occasionally travel to remote operational areas.
• A degree or master’s in agriculture, sustainability, environmental sciences, or equivalent.
• 8 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of regional languages such as Bahasa, Thai, and Vietnamese is desirable.
• Prior experience in Rubber or Palm commodities is advantageous.
