Job Description
The Sustainability Analyst (Managed Alerts) will extract energy and water data from internal databases, validate this information, conduct analyses, and communicate findings and action plans to Clients. The Analyst will manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What You’ll Do
As part of RealPage’s Sustainability team, reporting to the Sustainability Solutions Product Manager, Analysts will need to understand the multifamily and commercial real estate sectors regarding utility usage and costs. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze energy consumption and cost data to identify and resolve billing, rate, or consumption variances.
- Review monthly utility-related financial reports and provide written variance analysis.
- Perform utility rate and tariff analysis of energy and water accounts.
- Develop energy and water-related reports and graphs for Client presentations.
- Communicate with Clients and utility providers for collaboration and research purposes.

They must be self-motivated, able to communicate effectively, multi-task, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team. Reliability, positive attitude, and professional demeanor are essential traits.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in spreadsheets, including intermediate functions like pivot tables and advanced formulae.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret large data sets.
- Experience in residential multifamily management and knowledge of electric, natural gas, and/or water utilities is desirable.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills for interaction with various departments and clients.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and presentation skills.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor while being an independent thinker and team player.
- Ability to understand, adapt to, and lead change in a business environment is crucial.
