Job Description

ILF Consulting Engineers (Asia) is seeking an experienced Senior Solar PV and Renewable Energy Project Manager to be based in Bangkok, Thailand. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex medium to large-scale Renewable Energy projects and may spend extended periods on project sites to provide Construction Supervision and Project Management Consulting services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Solar PV/Hybrid and Renewable energy projects from early development phases to implementation in an Owner Engineer or Due Diligence context.
• Conduct project management from the ILF office in Bangkok.
• Perform as Owners Engineer, including Feasibility Studies, Basic/Detailed Engineering Design, Tender Support Services, Design Vetting, Construction Supervision, and O&M advisory within the SE Asia region.
• Manage Due Diligence Studies for Solar PV/Hybrid or other Renewable Energy projects.
• Support ILF projects in French-speaking African countries by project planning and engineering coordination.
• Ensure projects adhere to ILF’s Engineering Excellence policy, aiming for high Client satisfaction.
• Supervise site activities for complex projects, acting as on-site manager and liaising with engineering support teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/energy engineering; a master’s degree in electrical, renewable/solar energy, or power generation is preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience with international companies in Solar PV/Solar Hybrid and Renewable Energy projects; solar PV experience is essential.
• 3 years of demonstrated working experience in SE Asia.
• Proven track record in successful project management and leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams.
• On-site experience with solar PV projects in a Resident Engineer role.
• Strong report writing abilities and communication skills in English.
• Attention to detail and interpersonal skills to supervise multiple contractors.
• Fluency in English is a must; knowledge of French is a strong asset.
• Able to work in multinational, multi-disciplinary teams with intercultural competence.
• Willingness to travel in SE Asia, including extended site periods.
