Job Description

EDB is seeking a Senior Manager for the Venture Building (New Ventures) team, specifically focused on the Green Economy. The role involves:

• Source and evaluate venture-building projects in Green Economy sectors like carbon services and energy transition.
• Collaborate with founders and partners on 3-4 month deployments to develop ventures through insights gathering and market research.
• Brainstorm and test potential ventures, developing innovative value propositions.
• Formulate business plans that include financial models and go-to-market strategies.
• Facilitate connections within EDB’s networks for partnerships and opportunities.
• Support and manage programs aimed at attracting Green Economy founders and corporates.
• Opportunities for increased leadership and strategy formulation responsibilities as experience grows, including collaboration with the Venture Capital team on due diligence.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:

• A strong interest and passion for venture creation and systems-level impact.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in venture building ecosystems (e.g., venture studios, accelerators).
• Experience in driving sustainability partnerships with commercial outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills for program design and venture opportunity assessment.
• Familiarity with Agile, lean, and user-centered design methodologies is a plus.
• Demonstrated positive, adaptable attitude and resourcefulness.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• A strong team player who can work independently.
