Role Overview
The Manager/Senior Manager/Lead (Energy Solutions Business Segment) will define the business strategy, build and lead teams, and drive sustainable growth for the Energy Solutions business segment. This role is instrumental in developing innovative solutions, driving business development, and ensuring the profitability and success of clean energy projects within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the business strategy for the Energy Solutions business.
- Build and lead high-performing teams to achieve sustainable growth.
- Identify opportunities to develop innovative clean energy solutions aligned with market trends and client needs.
Go-to-Market and Business Development
- Define and implement an effective go-to-market strategy.
- Lead business development initiatives, securing new clients while upselling and cross-selling to existing accounts.
- Generate profitable opportunities through strategic relationships and market insights.
Client and Commercial Excellence
- Support the design and launch of new commercial offerings, ensuring they align with client requirements and industry trends..
- Strategic advisor for clients, driving value, innovation, and commercial insights.
- Lead proposals, presentations, and negotiations to secure and deliver projects profitably.
Project Oversight and Profitability
- Ensure the financial success of projects and monitor overall profitability.
- Deliver high-value outcomes to clients and oversee project execution to meet strategic and financial goals.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 8 to 10+ years of experience in the energy industry, preferably with strong technical knowledge in renewable energy, energy efficiency, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and low-carbon energy solutions.
- Proven experience in strategic consulting, including identifying client challenges, influencing decision-making, and delivering innovative solutions.
Skills & Expertise
- Expertise in business strategy, financial analysis, and business management.
- Demonstrated ability to sell and implement strategic projects with sales targets, managing multiple client accounts.
- Strong understanding of climate change challenges, decarbonization trends, and solutions.
- Industry knowledge in one or more sectors: energy-intensive industries, food and consumer goods, manufacturing, real estate, or transport & logistics is advantageous.
- Exceptional leadership and cross-functional team management across geographies.
Communication & Languages
- Strong executive-level communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of regional languages (e.g., Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) is a plus.
