Job Description

Atelier Ten is seeking a Senior Environmental Designer with a focus on sustainable design and expertise in building energy optimisation to provide consultancy on various projects.

About The Role

The role involves delivering environmental and sustainability advice for both internal and external clients, with a focus on environmental design, sustainability benchmarking, daylight and shading design, and other sustainable practices. You will oversee a range of projects from masterplanning to detailed design, ensuring collaboration with mechanical and electrical servicing teams as needed. You will also guide junior staff, ensure timely delivery of accurate project information, and act as a liaison between Atelier Ten and clients for external projects.

Key Accountabilities

Technical Ability

• Demonstrate specialist knowledge in various practices.
• Provide consultancy on environmental design and sustainability measures.
• Frame client briefs for environmental aspirations.
• Deliver technical solutions aligned with client requirements.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

Project Management

• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Organise junior staff to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain project oversight and awareness of contractual relationships.

Marketing

• Recognise and support business generation efforts.
• Maintain positive client relations.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and manage project timelines.
• Strong writing and IT skills for reporting and data management.
• Proficiency in building physics and relevant software tools.

Qualified Candidates Ideally Possess

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in related fields.
• 5+ years’ experience in engineering or sustainability consulting.
• Proficient in energy modelling, daylight modelling, and software applications such as IES VE, Radiance, AutoCAD, and others.
• Excellent analytical and multitasking abilities.
