Job Description

At Aurecon, you will become part of a growing Environment business in Singapore and Asia-Pacific, collaborating with a skilled team on diverse environmental projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting technical work on Biodiversity Impact Assessment (BIA), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (EMMP).
  • Performing ecological field surveys for coastal and marine habitat restoration projects.
  • Serving as a technical advisor for marine consultancy projects, focusing on impact assessments and biodiversity strategies.
  • Managing projects and coordinating with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Preparing technical and financial proposals while collaborating with a cross-functional team.
  • Providing mentorship to project teams and ensuring the timely delivery of project outputs.

What Can You Bring to the Team?

To be successful, you should be passionate about re-imagining engineering and committed to continuous learning. The following qualifications are desired:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in marine biology, marine science, ecology, environmental science, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in marine and coastal projects.
  • Strong understanding of tropical coastal and marine ecosystems, with experience managing marine-related projects being advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for external stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for diving with a minimum of 100 logged scientific dives and experience in underwater habitat surveys.
  • Experience in terrestrial ecosystem surveys, water quality, and oceanographic instrumentation is preferred.
  • Fluency in English, experience in ecological field sampling, scientific writing, and data analysis using statistical tools; knowledge of Asian languages and ArcGIS proficiency is a plus.
