Job Description

The Business Environment (BE) Division within EDB plays a vital role in implementing policies that bolster Singapore’s competitiveness in the realms of business, innovation, and talent. The selected candidate will engage with the business community and collaborate across various government agencies and internal divisions on incentive product development, policy governance, competitiveness monitoring, and business process re-engineering.

What you will be working on

  • Incentive product development & administration
  • Review and manage a suite of incentive products for governance and competitiveness
  • Provide advisory and collaborate on incentive approaches for internal projects
  • Monitor policy governance and competitiveness
  • Oversee internal budget allocations for economic development initiatives
  • Stay informed on international developments affecting Singapore’s economic competitiveness, especially related to investment and trade incentives
  • Assess and develop perspectives on these global developments and suggest responses for management and ministry stakeholders
  • Business process re-engineering & IT systems development
  • Enhance business processes related to incentive product usage
  • Recommend solutions to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. IT, Finance) for successful initiative implementation

The role will allow you to develop skills in policy shaping, client solutioning, data and incentive controls, product management, and agile delivery.

What we are looking for

  • At least 1 year of working experience, preferably in relevant areas
  • Aptitude in policy design, system thinking, and strong analytical skills
  • Interest in current affairs, particularly global trade and tax developments
  • Driven, self-motivated, and a positive team player with a strong work ethic
  • Open to working across various mentioned areas
  • Strong project management and leadership abilities, with effective cross-functional team management
  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Must be a Singaporean
