Job Description

The position of Scientist at the Centre for Urban Sustainability focuses on pioneering research in advanced materials for the built environment. Key research areas include:

  • 3D printable green cementitious composites
  • Sustainable building materials from recycled sources
  • Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) in low-carbon building materials

Responsibilities

  • Conduct applied research and development in material synthesis, characterization, and evaluation.
  • Implement scientific principles in laboratory tests; ensure data integrity and protocol compliance.
  • Collaborate with team leads and members to drive engineering practices and achieve project deliverables.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and events involving both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop strategic research proposals for national and industrial grants in line with CUS’ focus areas.
  • Perform administrative and procurement tasks as needed.
  • Co-supervise and support students on various projects.

Company Description

The ideal candidate will possess a background in Materials Science, Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Science or Engineering disciplines related to technology management.
