Investment Services (Sustainability Reporting)
- Support Temasek in advancing corporate reporting and disclosure practices within the investment company/asset owner space.
- Monitor corporate reporting landscape (financial and non-financial) in jurisdictions that Temasek operates in, and work with relevant stakeholders to evaluate related implications.
- Active stakeholder engagements with standards setters, regulators, and peers to lobby positions and shape corporate reporting practices.
- Establish robust frameworks and disclosure practices that are compliant with international reporting frameworks and standards to enable effective measurement, reporting, disclosure, and assurance processes of Temasek’s sustainability performance.
- Strengthen sustainability measurement and reporting capability within Temasek and ecosystem by building and deepening engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive systems implementation and process improvements to ensure future readiness of Temasek’s sustainability reporting needs.
Job Description / Key Responsibilities
- Monitor developments around sustainability reporting and regulations in major jurisdictions that Temasek operates in, and support benchmarking study and research.
- Support preparation of Temasek’s Sustainability Report.
- Support assurance of sustainability information to ensure satisfactory and timely completion.
- Analyse sustainability information to identify key operational drivers to support management decision.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to improve sustainability measurement and reporting (e.g. process enhancements, data gaps, measurement methodologies, disclosures) against international reporting frameworks or leading market practices.
- Support institutional sustainability-related projects and initiatives.
- Support advocacy/engagement efforts with Temasek portfolio companies to scale sustainability measurement and reporting practices.
- Support preparation of presentation materials for briefing to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Sustainability or Environmental Sciences, Renewable Energy, Business, Finance, or a related technical field or equivalent.
- At least 4-5 years of working experience preferred.
- Prior experience in ESG-related role an advantage.
- Knowledge or experience working on current sustainability issues (e.g. climate change, energy transition, nature/biodiversity, social-related initiatives) an advantage.
- Knowledge or experience implementing international sustainability reporting standards and frameworks such as ISSB and ESRS an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Strong sense of accountability.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Analytical with good attention to detail.
- Ability to summarise key observations for decision-making.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 apps (Excel, Power Point, Word).
- Good knowledge in data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Qlik an advantage.
