Job Description

AFRY is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Renewable Energy & Hybrid System Consultants/Senior Consultants in Southeast Asia, based in Bangkok, Thailand. The role encompasses the following responsibilities:

• Prepare conceptual designs and size hybrid power systems, including technologies like Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar, wind, and traditional gas, diesel, or biomass power plants.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical due diligence for renewable energy and hybrid projects.
• Prepare technical due diligence assessments for potential acquisition or financing of RE and hybrid power projects.
• Perform energy yield analyses for hybrid systems.
• Assist clients with EPC tendering projects and negotiations with EPC contractors.
• Act as a lender’s engineer in RE and hybrid projects, including construction and operational monitoring.
• Support business development and proposal preparation.

Qualifications

• Higher professional degree in electrical or a relevant engineering field, including RE and hybrid systems (M.Sc. or B.Sc.).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in RE and hybrid power systems.
• Knowledge of hybrid system sizing and optimization using software tools such as HOMER, Rated Power, SAM, iHOGA/MHOGA, RETScreen, etc.
• Technical expertise in Power Systems, power management, and Battery technologies.
• Familiarity with Power system software tools like ETAP, DigSilent is a plus.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
