Job Description

Cricut is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Engineer to work with contract manufacturers in Malaysia. This role focuses on establishing and maintaining an effective Environmental compliance program for Cricut’s products to minimize business risks and prevent delays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a product environmental compliance program.
• Analyze trends in environmental regulatory compliance laws.
• Evaluate materials and designs for compliance with environmental regulations.
• Support product certification for electrical safety and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with various teams to optimize designs for compliance.
• Advise and provide technical support on compliance matters.
• Engage with regulators and external agencies on compliance assessments.
• Review product marketing, packaging, and documentation for compliance.
• Monitor regulatory changes and their impact on products.
• Coordinate compliance efforts with suppliers.
• Implement environmental controls and training across the organization.
• Facilitate product testing with regulatory agencies.
• Support customer care teams with compliance issues.
• Participate in industry standard meetings relevant to environmental compliance.
• Contribute to corporate sustainability initiatives.
• Travel as needed, potentially up to 15% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of global electrical product regulatory compliance experience.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and safety protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of global environmental compliance directives and regulations.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for consumer equipment.
• Excellent communication skills; multilingual proficiency is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work across time zones and with global teams.
• Experience analyzing compliance data for accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
