Managing Consultant – Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change

Job Description

ERM Malaysia is seeking a Senior/Managing Consultant with consulting and project management experience in sustainability services. This role involves supporting ERM’s business growth in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, providing opportunities to engage in innovative projects.

• Deliver consulting services focusing on sustainability strategy, program development, implementation, and reporting.
• Manage key accounts and large-scale sustainability programs, develop stakeholder communications, and identify new business opportunities.
• Handle internal management tasks including planning, budgeting, training, and interfacing with various project teams.
• Have experience in mentoring and developing direct reports and client relationship skills.
• Possess consulting experience, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Enhance client relationships and conduct marketing activities for project sales.
• Collaborate with other service teams on opportunities and proposals across ERM’s global business.
• Act as a mentor to new joiners and junior consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred (e.g., environmental engineering, business administration).
• 6-8 years of experience in sustainable topics with a focus on environmental expertise and climate change.
• Strong writing skills and ability to distill complex issues into clear narratives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, along with facilitation capabilities.
• Proven project management experience with relevant tools.
• Knowledge of sustainability guidelines (e.g., GRI, ISO) is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and willing to learn additional software as needed.
• Excellent inter-personal and engagement skills.
• A proactive attitude and attention to detail are essential.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes.
