Job Description
The Managing Consultant is tasked with leading engagement teams, collaborating with diverse clients to provide professional services, and managing business development efforts for strategic global priority accounts.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Engagement Management and Client Relations
- Design and implement engagement programs, including activity and staffing plans.
- Deploy team members and assign work based on the established program.
- Review team members’ work to ensure proper execution of plans and address issues with staff and clients.
- Integrate and review reports from team members for quality and compliance.
- Keep clients informed about engagement issues and incorporate their feedback.
- Resolve internal and client-related issues under the Advisory Partner’s supervision.
- Maintain positive client relationships at all times.
- Monitor budgets and address any potential issues.
- Review report drafts from team members.
- Ensure timely delivery of client deliverables and gather post-engagement feedback.
Essential Functions
- Work on additional projects and administrative tasks as assigned by Advisory Partners.
- Conduct investigations and data analysis using forensic methodologies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of findings and manage forensic tools.
- Consult with Partners and clients about case investigations and project statuses.
People Management And Administrative Functions
- Assist in staff recruitment through interviews and exams.
- Provide mentoring for Advisory Services Division staff.
- Complete and review Performance Review Reports (PRRs) for team members.
- Manage engagement codes, billing, and payment follow-ups.
- Oversee the close-out of engagements and archive work papers.
- Ensure updates to the Advisory Services Division archive system.
Practice Development Functions
- Communicate leads for potential engagements to the Advisory Partner.
- Provide input for the development of the Firm’s revenue base.
- Attend potential client meetings alongside the Advisory Partner.
- Prepare methodology proposals for prospective engagements.
- Supervise proposal drafts for the Advisory Partner’s review.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals and gather client feedback.
- Report on issued and accepted proposals within the Advisory Services Division.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (Accounting, Business, etc.), with work experience prioritized.
- Minimum of six years of relevant experience in Sustainability.
- At least three years in a supervisory role.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
