Addleshaw Goddard’s Global Infrastructure practice is a leading team of over 250 lawyers, providing expertise across various sectors including M&A, finance, construction, and dispute resolution. The practice supports infrastructure developers, investors, and advisers globally in delivering major projects. The role offers the chance to play a key part in transaction delivery, client relationship development, and team expansion, providing opportunities for clear career progression.
The Team
The Global Infrastructure team encompasses core sectors including Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Transport, and Social Infrastructure. Key activities involve:
- Oil & Gas: Advising on complex projects and transactions globally across the entire value chain.
- Power & Renewables: Supporting major energy infrastructure projects, acquisitions, due diligence, and regulatory advice.
- Transport: Advising on various transport projects, assisting clients through challenges in multiple sub-sectors like Aviation and Rail.
- Social Infrastructure: Delivering high-quality advice for health, education, and government-related projects, especially in public-private partnerships.
What To Expect In This Role
The role provides opportunities to advise both private and public sector clients, manage projects, draft and negotiate contracts, and mentor junior team members. Key responsibilities include:
- Advising clients across key sectors and enhancing personal expertise.
- Leading project management and contract negotiations.
- Utilizing junior associates and paralegals for successful task delegation and training.
- Contributing to business development and staying updated on market trends.
- Accessing career development programs with mentor support.
Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum of 8 years PQE in relevant infrastructure sectors.
- Experience working in APAC countries; Asian language fluency is advantageous.
- Proven resilience, ambition, and consultative approach to legal challenges.
- Adept at engaging stakeholders and managing tasks efficiently.
- Skills in drafting clear legal documents and maintaining composure under pressure.
- Desire for continuous legal skill development and understanding client needs.
