Job Description

PT ECCO Tannery Indonesia is seeking a highly qualified, internationally minded individual for the role of HSE & Sustainability Officer. This position involves operational, tactical, and strategic responsibilities aimed at integrating sustainability principles into the organization’s operations and management systems. The role encompasses a wide range of initiatives related to sustainability, environmental compliance, safety and health standards, and energy management practices.

The HSE & Sustainability Officer will navigate regulatory requirements concerning environmental, energy, and safety & health regulations, ensuring appropriate communication and implementation of these regulations. Familiarity with various certifications such as ISO, SMK3, HIGG Index, and PROPER is essential.

This role requires a disciplined, firm, conscientious individual who is also an out-of-the-box thinker, responsible for developing mitigation actions to avoid irregularities.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement practices to reduce energy and water consumption, manage waste, and promote renewable resources.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health regulations by preparing reports for the government and ECCO Global.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to health, safety, environment, and energy, and manage health and safety initiatives.
• Provide technical advice and recommendations to management based on HSE government and industry standards.
• Identify and mitigate potential HSE and energy risks and implement best practices.
• Document sustainability, HSE, and energy performance and provide appropriate reports.
• Engage closely with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in HSE, Sustainability, and Energy Management Systems.
• A manufacturing background, preferably in FMCG.
• In-depth knowledge of local legislative laws to ensure compliance.
• Digital proficiency in HSE data analytics and audits for standards.
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and proficiency in Business English.
• Certification in AK3U OHS, Audit & Inspection, and other relevant qualifications.
