Job Description

In line with our increasing business, we are looking for a Head of Renewable Energy Consulting to have overall responsibility for our renewable energy consulting projects in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for renewable energy consulting services in the Philippines, including solar PV/wind farm/battery storage technical due diligence, feasibility studies, EPC tendering, and lenders technical advisory services.
• Acting as Project Manager or Project Director for renewable energy consulting projects in the Philippines.
• Recruitment of new renewable energy team members and line management of the renewable energy consulting team.
• Coordinating resources for renewable energy consulting projects from AFRY experts in the APAC region and other global locations.
• Responsibility for training and development of the renewable energy consulting team.
• Active participation in renewable energy consulting business development and sales.
• Participation or management of various other technical consulting assignments.
• Preparation of client reports and quality control for internal report preparation processes.
• Short term travel expected for project support and business development in the Asia region.
• Occasional support for projects in Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Rough expectations for time spent on various duties are as follows:

• Project management/project supervision/project execution/project quality control (billable activities): 60-80%
• Proposal preparation, client meetings, participation in the sales process: 20-30%
• Strategy, resource planning, hiring, mentoring and training of juniors, and admin work.

Qualifications

• Higher professional degree in an engineering field relevant to the job (B.Sc. or higher).
• Industry background with more than 10 years of work experience from power utilities, IPP developers, engineering companies, or power sector consulting companies.
• Good experience in the renewable energy project development phase.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in client interaction and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well with people from a range of cultures.
• Ability to work independently.
