Job Description

As the Principal Geologist, you will be responsible for:

• Leading geological exploration, resource evaluation, and development activities for gold deposits.
• Designing and implementing exploration programs to identify and define new gold resources.
• Overseeing geological modeling, interpretation, and resource estimation processes.
• Managing drilling programs, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Providing technical mentorship to the geology team and fostering knowledge transfer.
• Collaborating with mine planning, metallurgy, and other departments to optimize resource extraction.
• Evaluating geotechnical and geochemical data to support mine development strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with local and international mining regulations and industry best practices.
  
  
  

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in gold exploration and resource geology, with a proven track record in resource discovery and development.
• Strong expertise in geological modeling software such as Leapfrog, Micromine, or Datamine.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior geologists.
• Strong understanding of JORC or NI 43-101 reporting standards.
