About The Opportunity

CCaSS is part our Assurance group, which is one of the most trusted, respected and influential organizations in the industry. As part of our team, you can be a part of both advisory and assurance engagements, both enabling institutional progress in sustainability and ensuring the integrity of critical sustainability-related information. Our services span climate and decarbonization, ESG and sustainability, environment, health and safety (EHS) services, sustainability reporting and assurance and digital sustainability services.

Your Key Responsibilities

You’ll spend most of your time assisting clients to identify, measure, and manage impact, risks and opportunities as they transition their organizations in alignment with global and national climate ambitions. As a sustainability practitioner, the development of your skills and capabilities are important to us amid rapidly expanding science and knowledge in sustainability. You will also actively contribute to the growth and development of the CCaSS practice by taking operational responsibility and accountability for engagement team support and delivery.

Skills And Attributes For Success

  • Assist, analyze, and conduct customized research to support clients in sustainability/ESG transformation, decarbonization, climate change risks and opportunities, sustainability reporting and other relevant services
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision-makers, both internally and externally
  • Communicating EY’s scope of services and providing guidance in the delivery of CCaSS projects, with an emphasis on complex and/or specialized issues within assurance and advisory capacities
  • Identifying and communicating trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to the client, while demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry and marketplace
  • Supporting client relationships, business development, and account management leadership through the development of thought leadership, client and internal collateral and training

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental studies or management, engineering, sustainable development, accounting with classes in sustainability, or other relevant majors
  • Internship experiences in sustainability, energy and other relevant roles and sectors
  • Strong academic performance
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Team player
  • Openness to a variety of projects in different sectors
  • Self-motivated, proactive and committed
  • Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary

Ideally, you also have

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Knowledge and interest in sustainability related areas or topics
  • Strong project management and personnel management skills
