Environmental and Social Team Leader

Job Description

• Deliver consulting services focusing on environmental and social strategy, program development, implementation, and sustainability reporting.
• Demonstrate consulting experience by developing client relationships, creating business opportunities, and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Enhance client relationships, engage in marketing activities, and drive project sales.
• Lead environmental and social impact assessments, surveys, and related planning studies and reports.
• Oversee data collection, ensure high-quality deliverables, and prepare relevant analysis and reports on environmental and social topics.
• Apply scientific principles and existing technologies to solve technical problems with limited scope.
• Conduct data interpretation, analyses, and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
• Enforce ethics and compliance policies regarding payments and engagements.
• Act as Project Manager in resource deployment and financial budgeting per in-house processes.
• Collaborate with other sectors and teams for successful multidisciplinary project delivery.

Key Requirements

• Master’s degree in social science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record of securing work within environmental and social scopes in Indonesia.
• Familiarity with international safeguard standards such as IFC PS, World Bank ESF, and ADB SPS.
• Knowledge of Indonesian environmental and social regulations.
• Experience in conducting ESIAs, human rights impact assessments, land acquisition, and indigenous people plans.
• Proficiency in facilitating workshops and public consultations.
• Strong research, writing, verbal, and organizational skills.
• Competence in Microsoft Office and experience with specialized software (e.g., ArcGIS, Delft3D, MUSIC, Marxan) preferred.
