Job Description
RINA is currently seeking an Energy Project Engineer to join its office in Jakarta, Indonesia. The ideal candidate is an Indonesian engineer with a solid engineering background, preferably in HSE and/or process fields, strong technical capabilities, effective communication skills, and knowledge of the Indonesian Energy market. Networking with leading Indonesian Oil & Gas and Energy companies is also essential.
The successful candidate will handle multiple projects and proposals, performing tasks such as:
- Providing technical support in proposal preparation, including the technical development of bids, participating in review meetings, and ensuring usable content creation.
- Drafting technical proposals and ensuring timely submission.
- Supporting project execution by assisting the Project Manager in job planning, progress monitoring, and ensuring compliance with contracts and standards.
- Coordinating technical tasks and distributing jobs to discipline leads, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Attending meetings with clients, reporting, and managing customer technical queries.
The focus will be on Oil & Gas solutions and decarbonization/energy transition initiatives, including renewables, hydrogen, and CCUS systems. The position is mid-seniority, requiring 5 to 8 years of experience, and offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic consultancy environment.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Chemical (Process) Engineering.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in a structured Engineering Consulting Team (EPC or Engineering).
- Familiarity with decarbonization and low-carbon gases is advantageous.
- Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office and programming languages.
- Fluency in English; Italian is a plus.
- Delivery-focused mindset under tight deadlines with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia for short- and mid-term assignments.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with mentoring capabilities for team coordination.
- Experience with project management software, such as MS Project.
