Consulting Associate – Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change

Job Description

ERM is seeking an energetic, self-starting Sustainability and Climate Change Consultant in Indonesia to drive change in processes and behaviors. The individual will support the development of client relationships and deliver Climate Change and Corporate Sustainability services across various industry sectors, engaging in innovative projects.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Support the growth of ERM Indonesia’s services in Low Carbon Economy Transition, Climate Change, Corporate Sustainability, and Social Performance.
• Deliver consulting services for clients across Indonesia and the Asia Pacific region.
• Focus on sustainability strategy development, ESG reporting, climate action, greenhouse gas inventories, carbon footprinting, sustainability goals setting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Assist ERM Partners and Project Managers in managing key accounts, developing client relationships, and managing multiple projects with minimal oversight.
• Think critically to influence clients’ sustainability strategies and climate change decisions.
• Assist in business development research, marketing, and other tasks.
• Fulfill internal management responsibilities including planning, budgeting, training, and interfacing with other practice areas and project teams.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental or Social Science, Sustainability, Climate Change, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in sustainability, climate change, or social performance, preferably in consulting.
• Understanding of ESG, IFRS S1 and S2, GRI, sustainability reporting, SDGs implementation, and relevant international regulations.
• A self-starter with critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in dynamic environments with changing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively at multiple levels.
• Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.
• Basic client management skills for mature interactions.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Experience in multicultural environments managing multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel within Indonesia/Southeast Asia for short-term assignments.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Indonesian.
