Job Description
DT Global is seeking a part-time consultant in Jakarta, Indonesia to support the USAID Ber-IKAN Project, aimed at enhancing Indonesia’s marine biodiversity through improved fisheries management. The consultant will develop climate change adaptation and mitigation training modules for various stakeholders, including government partners, private sector entities, and community representatives.

Background
The collaboration between the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Republic of Indonesia, and USAID has resulted in the USAID – Bersama Kelola Perikanan Project (2022-2027), which aims for sustainable fisheries management and enhancement of marine biodiversity. The project focuses on four key objectives related to fisheries policies, governance, market incentives, and the protection of endangered marine species, targeting an area of over 5 million hectares for sustainable management.
Position Summary
The consultant will work with the USAID Ber-IKAN team to integrate climate change into capacity-building activities. Responsibilities include creating training modules tailored to different audiences, conducting desk reviews, gathering feedback, and coordinating with relevant partners for content approval and module testing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare an inception report.
- Conduct a survey of existing climate change training materials.
- Create content outlines for government, private sector, and community audiences.
- Develop individual training modules focused on climate change adaptation and mitigation.
- Facilitate joint review meetings for module feedback and revisions.
- Support the testing of training modules with target groups.
Education & Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years in climate change adaptation and mitigation.
- 5+ years in climate change impacts on fisheries.
- 4+ years in training and capacity building.
- 2+ years in curriculum/module development.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Experience with USAID activities is a plus.
- Legal authorization to work in Indonesia.
