Business Development Manager – Sustainability

Job Description

IES Ltd is seeking a Business Development Manager for North Malaysia to expand its team in response to growing demand in Asia. The role focuses on achieving sales and revenue goals for assigned customer segments by developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and vendors. Key responsibilities include forming relationships with clients, supporting branding, attending industry functions, identifying sales opportunities, collaborating with technical staff to meet customer needs, and building new accounts in China. This is a home-based position with expected monthly travel across Asia.

The Candidate

Essential Skills:

• At least 8 years of work experience
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Professional proficiency in English and Cantonese
• Software sales experience (Graphisoft, SketchUp, Revit, SolidWorks or similar)
• Outstanding influencing and relationship-building skills
• Professional presentation skills
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently
• Develop leads and sustain business
• Strategy development for products/services and pricing
• Ability to create annual forecasts

Desirable Skills:

• Master’s Degree (MBA or similar)
• Experience in developing training services business
• Knowledge of IES Virtual Environment (VE) software
• Experience with CRM systems
• Awareness of voluntary environmental rating schemes (USGBC LEED, Green Mark)
• Knowledge of sustainable building design process
• Awareness of building energy regulations
