Job Description
The Associate will support the implementation of international, regional, and local projects, prepare proposals, and develop new products for the corporate sector. Responsibilities include research, analysis, and writing deliverables related to greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting services and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) solutions. You will assist project teams on medium and large mandates and manage small projects as needed.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and completing proposals/deliverables for the corporate sector on GHG accounting and LCA solutions, meeting South Pole’s quality standards.
- Occasionally manage small projects, interacting with clients and project teams.
- Ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of assigned tasks/projects.
- Manage project information and knowledge following best practices.
- Enhance specialized skills, tools, and knowledge relevant to South Pole’s services.
- Support business development through desktop research and material preparation for potential clients and partners.
- Engagement topics include GHG accounting, LCA, corporate climate target setting, and decarbonization roadmaps, with occasional extensions to broader sustainability topics.
Essential Profile Requirements
- University degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Economics, or sustainability-related fields with strong academic achievement.
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability challenges within multinational firms.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in sustainability consulting or related fields, particularly in GHG accounting, climate target setting, and decarbonization roadmaps.
- Research capabilities and data analysis skills.
- Ability to manage small projects in complex, multi-stakeholder contexts.
- Strong writing skills for creating high-quality proposals and deliverables.
- Diligent, reliable, and proactive work ethic.
- Good prioritization and time management skills.
- Strong quantitative skills, proficient in Excel for climate and sustainability impact modeling.
- Effective client and stakeholder interaction abilities.
- Autonomous yet collaborative working style.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Thai.
Desirable Profile Requirements
- Experience in sustainability/climate change strategy development, energy efficiency, GHG management, scenario analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
- A Master’s degree is advantageous.
- Experience in Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) or strong background contributing to LCA skills is desirable.
- Analytical mindset with strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Google Suite and MS Word/Excel.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced international environment.
