Job Description
SIT is seeking faculty members with an engineering background specializing in sustainability. Candidates should possess academic and/or industrial experience in enhancing environmental sustainability through engineering solutions and have a solid foundation in various engineering fields. The successful candidate will develop and teach sustainability-related curriculum and engage in applied research projects.
Essential
- Experience in enhancing environmental sustainability through engineering solutions or sustainability management.
- Background and interest in one or more engineering fields, such as mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, building, or environmental engineering.
- Knowledge of sustainability measurement and management, including carbon accounting and life cycle analysis.
- Motivation to develop and teach sustainability-related curriculum.
- Demonstrated interest in developing sustainability and/or engineering solutions through applied research.
Desirable
- Knowledge of sustainability-related technologies like carbon capture and utilization.
- Hands-on experience in engineering projects with sustainability goals.
- Experience in projects integrating the three pillars of sustainability.
- PhD in a related technical area preferred.
- Experience in industry-academia partnership projects.
