Job Description
The Analyst’s goal is to support the implementation of international, regional, and local projects, assist in proposal preparation, and develop new products for the corporate sector. Key responsibilities include conducting research, analyzing information, and writing deliverables and proposals related to greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting services and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) solutions. The Analyst will work primarily with project teams on medium and large mandates.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and completing proposals and deliverables for GHG accounting services and LCA solutions, meeting the quality standards required by South Pole.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients, ensuring all technical and administrative requirements are met.
- Ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of assigned tasks/projects.
- Manage project information and knowledge following best practices.
- Support the development and enhancement of specialized skills, tools, and knowledge related to South Pole’s services.
- Contribute to business development through research and creating materials for potential clients and partners, focusing on topics like GHG accounting, LCA, corporate climate target setting, and sustainability.
Requirements
Essential
- University degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Economics, or another sustainability-related field, with strong academic performance.
- Knowledge of sustainability challenges in multinational companies.
- Minimum of 6 months relevant work experience in sustainability consulting or related fields, including environmental footprinting and disclosure.
- Ability to conduct research and analyze data.
- Experience managing small projects across various stakeholders and geographies.
- Strong writing skills for high-quality documents (proposals and deliverables).
- Diligent, reliable, and proactive with good prioritization and time management skills.
- Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in Excel for modeling climate and sustainability impacts.
- Effective interaction skills with clients and stakeholders.
- Autonomous yet collaborative work approach.
- Excellent oral and written skills in English and Bahasa.
Desirable
- Practical experience in sustainability/climate change strategy, GHG management, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
- A Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Experience in Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) or relevant academic background.
- Strong analytical mindset and skills.
- Familiarity with Google Suite and MS Word.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced international environment.
